Two Astroturf to be provided for Hockey field : Moulvi Imran Ansari | KNO

Jammu (KNO) :At the time of closing ceremony of State Hockey Championship 2018 at KK Hakhu Stadium Jammu, the final match was played between B.S.F. Jammu and B.S.F. Srinagar.

The Championship was won by B.S.F. Jammu by 3-2 goals.  The Minister of Sports JB. Moulvi Imran Ansari who was Chief Guest, who presided over the said Closing Ceremony and Choudhary Lal Singh Minister for. Forest, Ecology and Environment, was also present as a special guest, who wished for improvement in sports to the players.  JB. Moulvi Imran Ansari distributed the prizes to the winning team and he encouraged the players to be more and more efficient in sports.

At this time he promised to provide two (2) Astroturfs for Hockey field to improve the Hockey in the state, one (1) for Srinagar and one (1) for Jammu.  The joint secretary Hockey J&K JB. Raja Ghulam Nabi Wani told that Hon'ble Dr. Farooq Abdullah Former CM, 19 years ago had provided Astroturf to improve the Hockey game in the state. So that players of J&K State may improve their game and now two more Astroturf will be provided as per the commitment by JB. Ansari to make the future of Hockey more bright and improved.

He further insured that in future 2nd Hockey Championship will be prepared by Conducted matches under 16 Boys and Girls at Polo Ground and Gindun Stadium, Rajbagh in Srinagar. The other dignitaries and general public was very pleased over such assurance to uplift the Hockey in J&K state. On this occasion following were present included namely, Jaswinder Singh Kuku, Shuja Ahmed, Gurdeep Singh, H.S. Bakshi and others.(KNO)
